This stool was designed in response to a call for entries for a design made of no more than (6) 18”x18” birch plywood panels. Nick had about a day to design his entry. A total of four stools could be made from all six panels of plywood using his design. The stool utilizes an interlocking fastening technique to hold everything together in tension and offers the potential for flat packing if needed. Two design variations were made — a standard thickness version and a version with double-thick legs. The next step for this project will be to produce a prototype using laser-cut plywood to test viability.
