Bristle Brush

The Bristle Brush was designed for MUJI’s Long Lasting Design For Living Competition. The product takes the traditional paintbrush and simplifies it down to its one necessary component—the bristle. The current standard for brushes is built around Old World manufacturing techniques that take small components and mash them together to produce a product. In comparison, the Bristle Brush is a single, wholistic design. This new design drastically reduces manufacturing and material usage. It also makes for an aesthetically beautiful product that has subtle organic qualities.
