Outside of work, Nick is an avid gardener, using small-space techniques to grow a variety of herbs, flowers, and houseplants around his apartment and office. His Miniature Australian Shepherd named Stella accompanies him to work and on all outdoor adventures. On a long weekend, you’ll most likely find the two in upstate New York on a hiking trip.
In his spare time, Nick collaborates with other designers doing freelance work and can regularly be found beautifying the community by collecting trash and tidying up landscaping on Lexington Avenue between Lewis Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
Though a true New Yorker, Nick’s second home is Stockholm, Sweden, where he has lived and worked periodically for the past several years. When in Stockholm, Nick immerses himself in the language and Scandinavian design.
Some of Nick’s favorite reads include Kenya Hara’s Designing Design, Kassia St. Clair’s The Secret Lives of Color, Chris Voss’ Never Split the Difference, and Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park.
